There are hundreds of things that needed to be done, but in
this blog post we are going to focus on the big stuff.
Everyone knows you need a good foundation to build on. ForRiverWalk Brewing that started with jack hammering the cement to put in floor
drains and covering it with a sweet looking bright blue urethane composite
floor. You can poor hot wart right on
the floor and it will still be fine.
Once the floor was in we could finally have our new equipment
delivered – check out the new RiverWalk Brewing shiny new conical fermenters.
It is cleaner now! |
there is typically a lot of exhaust, so check out the awesome RiverWalk Brewing vent and duct work. Next for RiverWalkBrewing came the install of the on-demand hot water heater. Simply dial in the temp of the water you want and BAM – you have the water you need at the temp you need when you need it!
Of course RiverWalk Brewing need somewhere to store the beer
once it is made. That is where our new
modular cold room comes into play. We chose to go the modular route so we could
expand the walls as we grow.
There is no reason to make beer if you can’t get it to the people who want it. Check out the sweet “new to us” RiverWalk Brewing van.
All together – here is where we are at in the back. Please
note we will move all non-essential items. We should also show things like, new
gain mill, labeling station, keg cleaning station, sales and marketing office
set up, bringing over all the equipment (like brewing kettles) from the Amesbury
location, wiring/setting up the glycerol cooling system and so many more things
were done that if we kept going we would run out of space on the internet - LOL
Now that the back of the house has many of the major
components in place – we go to the RiverWalk Brewing front of house.
Signage - The sign
for the front of the building is on the way, but in the interim, you can check
out our RiverWalk Brewing door signage.
RiverWalk Brewing Tasting Room - What would a brewery be if
there was nowhere to enjoy the beer? There are a few steps we need to get this
it ready for your visit.
1.
Paining – Painting is mostly done. It would have
been much closer to done, but to be honest, I (Betsy) picked out a really BAD
color. Although mint chocolate chip is my favorite ice cream flavor, it does
not look good on the walls. So it is off to the paint store we go, and should
have that done by the end of next week.
2.
Building the bar – The bar is built, but needs
to be stained to match the beautiful natural wood slab we are using as the counter top.
3.
Keg-o-rater and Growler fridge – These are
pretty much set to go and may reside in the back, but are used for the front of
house.
4.
Merchandise Wall – Got to give people cool
RiverWalk Brewing things to buy (think Christmas everyone)
5.
TV set up
– We will be showing the TV show Steve was on, classic RiverWalk Brewing
images, as well as our awesome RiverWalk Brewing debut video, how to build a
keg-o-rator – created by our awesome multi-media guru Lump.
6.
Ambiance – We have some cool stuff to see
Thank you all for your patience. We appreciate it and hope you have enjoyed a quick view into the process of building RiverWalk Brewing!
