The Legend of Uncle Bob

We could see the light of the pub twinkling in the distance, like a beacon in the growing twilight. He had just led us through narrow winding switchbacks to the top of a craggy English peak. Somehow we found our way down the mountain as darkness set in. Our last obstacle was a farmer’s field patrolled by a bull somewhere in the gloom. Uncle Bob urged us to hop the fence and within minutes we were tucked into a warm booth at the pub. The beer that day tasted heavenly, and as a tribute to those who keep moving toward their destination we created the Uncle Bob Bitter.
